Is this green slime algae?

    A friend of mine sent me this asking what it is.. says its a rich green color... thoughts?

    Cyano. Is this in a fuge or do you have fairly yellow lighting in your display?

    Well, green cyano tends to grow under more yellow light and red cyano under more blue light. Some species can adapt and grow red or green depending on the light. It also looks like some faint red, so, could either be there is available green and yellow light, or bulbs getting old and changing spectrum etc.. Not sure of the specifics of the setup. Certainly looks slimy though :)

    Thanks.. I have been talking with him.. he has a weak clean up crew and low flow ..
