is this behavior normal?

    hey guys, i have a 3 month old jack dempsey cichlid. ive had him a week so im a newbie in the jack dempsey world, ive noticed lately he hides alot, but he eats like normal so i dont think hes sick. but is this normal from him to hide in strange places all the time? thanks:)

    Yes it is normal for young fish to hide whenever possible.

    What kind of fish is he with and what size? If the other fish are bigger than him he will hide. He also could be adjusting to the new environment.

    I don't believe thats a ridiculous question. He didn't say how big it was and what its tankmates were.

    normal behavior, cichlids can hide in the smallest of small places
