    Hi all!

I just set up this new tank, with cured live rock from the LFS and found this hitchhiker. I think it may be aiptasia, but I'm not sure.

this is my first tank so thanks for any help.

ok, well it's the only one so maybe I can nip it in the bud.

    It's a 30g tank, so I guess I will get a Peppermint Shrimp, or 2.

it is probably less then 1 inch high, should I try to get something to inject into it also?

I have read they can become a nuisance if not taken care of.

the tank has been up and running for a week

Take a turkey baster and boil a cup of tank water and scold him to death with it(providing no corals are in the area)

Great method, especially since it's an empty tank ATM. You can also make a paste out of kalkwasser and a little bit of RO/DI and then smear it over the hole where the 'nem is.

peppermints are hit and miss. Mine eat little aip's but only because they don't get much to eat to begin with imo. They wouldn't touch yours or a huge one I have yet to kill. I'd try the boiling water or inject it with kalk b4 spending money on shrimp. Unless of course you want the shrimp that is:)
