Is this acro a goner, bleached??

    I thought this was on the whiteish yellowish acro had had for about 6 months or a little longer now...thoughts if it is bleached or not bleached??

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks bleached to me, looks like it is encrusted though so it most be growing. There are some lighter corals, but that looks more pale to me.

    The base looks alive, the rest not so good, but could come back. I wouldn't chuck it yet.

    That is a hard one. How far away from the lighting is it? I see 2 250 MH in your sig. If it where mine I would probably try different placement but I have tendency to move my acropora more than I probably should.

    How much flow through the area?

    Flow is moderate and it is in the upper 3/4 of tank with the 250w metal halide 2 bulbs...will list parameter tomorrow but should be ok

    I'm with Steve.Look at the coral with a flash light after lights out and see if there is polyp extention.If so I would say you're good to go.
