    Hello All,
Thank you for your patience as we continue our journey of discovery with the hobby. Hopefully others can also benefit from the information shared.

This evening I noticed translucent yellow creature snuggled in these polyps (when they are open you can't see it). Is this something to remove or is it OK?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Yes it is a sponge.

You can simply take a sharp object and remove it or you can remove the piece and take a soft tooth brush and scrub it off. Careful because you are dealing with palythoa and their toxins. Personally it looks to me like a less invasive sponge but only time will tell.

Thank you. Will try to remove it with a razor blade. I have heard about the palythoa having toxins but don't know much. Will do some homework first.

Just wash your hands thoroughly and preferably wear gloves/eye protection when working with them.:)
