Is this a Brittle Sea Star?

    Just found this speedy critter roaming around our tank. About 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter (roughly). It has the comb around its legs, tan and striped. Banded? Fancy Tiger Striped? I don't know :huh:

    Best I can tell it is. It looks like my brittle star.

    Micro brittle.Good member of the cuc.They hitch hike in live sand and lr.

    +1 a keeper for sure. you may notice the arms poking out of small holes in your rock work, thats one of the ways they feed.

    Thanks for the identification. There are several that have, indeed, hitch-hiked into our tank. Yes Swisswiss, I originally thought they were bristle worms until I saw the li'l guy crawl into a hole...and stick its arms/legs out! Now I see more of them.

    I didn't realize they were part of the CUC so I guess I got lucky on this rookie mistake.
