Is the back of a Perfecto 120 Gallon (48x24x24) drillable? (aka. not tempered glass)

    I believe most all tanks are only tempered on the bottom. But I'd ask Perfecto before I'd drill it.

    Sorry that's not much of an answer but it's a bump anyway

    I think my bow tank is tempered all the way around. Could be a bow tank thing...

    There is an easy method to find out if the tank is tempered or not but of course i forget what it is. I remember doing something before i drilled mine. Google it and im sure you will find out how to check it.

    Found it. Get some polarized sun glasses and an LED screen like a cell phone or computer. Put the glasses on and look at the screen. As you begin to tilt the screen, at about a 45 degree angle the screen should go black. Next, take the LED device and place it behind the glass in question. With your glasses on, look at the screen. If it appears to be blotchy with black and dark spots then the glass it tempered. If it is clear, drill away!
