What other extra stuff did you have to buy if anything?
Just noticed you're from Roanoke. I grew up in Dublin if you know where that is.. I miss those mountains.

The only thing extra I bought was an extra energy bar so I could have 16 outlets. It will do everything you want it to do out of the box except the water on the floor. For that to work you need the breakout box they sell but its only a $40 add on. If can also control controllable Tunze's and dim dimmable T5 Ballests.

Just wanted to add that the iPhone app is definitely awesome, although if you wanted to save a few dollars you can get it for the Aquacontroller 3 as well.

For detecting water on the floor, I would need to add a break out I/O box. What about the actual sensor that detects water?

There are ways to wire this up to the sensor on water alarms that are sold at home depot for like $15 or something, there are some instructions out there somewhere for hooking it up to a leakfrog as well, I can't find them at the moment though. There are lots of water alarms out there but the trick is knowing how to wire it up, I can't help you with that though unfortunately. :(
