Where did you get 39.75w T5 bulbs? I waited 5 months to add a clam and my squamosa is doing great. The kind of clam you want will determine if you have enough light and the tank dimensions would help for placement.

lol i dont know why the fixture says 159watts i guess they add in the moonlight?

Its a aquatic life system with 4x39watt bulds 2 of the bulbs are white 700+ and the other 2 bulbs are blue 420/460.

do you want the distance from the sand bed to the light, waterlevel ?

. . . sure. also the how tall is the tank and what kind of clam are we talking about. ( 39 x 4 = 156, not 159 ::) )

I kept gold maximas, squamosa, and blue maximas in my old 35g (36x 12x17) under 3x39 of t5ho retrofit with ATI reflectors for several years.

You will be fine with any clam, under that lighting, provided it has proper parabolic reflectors.
Squamosa and derasa (gigas as well) need the least light, until it outgrows the tank. Maximas need higher light, and croceas need the most, but the maximas and croceas will be your smallest clams.

Gold maximas can be had for around 25 dollars, blues usually around 30.
