I normally dip all my new additions, but this will be the first time I'll be dipping Zoa's/Palys. I have read a couple of times that the 2.5% Tincture dip is good to dip SPS/LPS only...it doesn't state not to dip Zoas/Palys, but it doesn't include it in the "safe to dip" explanation.

So my question is obviously, will this cause harm to Zoas/Palys?

    Thanks!

I've always viewed SPS/LPS as more fragile to the dipping process, and so if they can handle the dip, zoas and palys should have no problem. IMO, I'd go for it, maybe trying the smallest colony/frag first, and watching it's response post dip.

Edit: I thought you were the resident know-it-all? ;)

They aren't the cheapset of Zoas/Palys...just making sure. My thoughts were like yours, they are usually much hardier than SPS/LPS are.

You'll be fine. Why an iodine dip though? No coral RX around (or revive I suppose)?

I cant see how it would be harmful to zoas/palys and not LPS/SPS. JM2C

Coral RX will be coming in the mail whenever BRS sends that all important GB email today. I have the iodine from 6 months ago...almost gone now.

You should have no problem IME. I have been using ReVive for an introductory dip. I will use Iodine for an injury dip.
