Rapid LED is branching out. Known for quality LED kits at great prices, Rapid LED is applying the same ethic to their brand new company Rapid CORAL. I got a tour yesterday and a first hand look at their wonderful coral before they officially launch today. (They are live as of right now, link below.) The first thing I noticed is the size of the corals available. These are big colony-size frags. With the acropora prices ranging from $80 - $180 dollars, these are deals. Pressing my face closer, the quality stood out. I wanted them. Currently Rapid CORAL offers mostly acans, chalices the size of plates and acroporas. It's a humble start with about 300 gallons of holding capacity, but something tells me it will grow with demand. Best wishes to Rapid CORAL! Now prepare to drool. Pics below.

Of course the tanks were all lit with Rapid LED fixtures. This light array above contained 5 fixtures, each with 24 x 5w CREE LEDs run at 700 mA with 80 degree optics. Cool stuff.

Cool. looks like a great idea, especially applying their old business to the new one.

Damn those are some serious "frags" if they can even be called that, they should call them starter colonies instead of frags because of how large they are...Hell MrCoral would make 30 frags from one of there starter colonies LOL

I'm assuming those are all wild colonies?

Ahh, makes sense. Do you feel maricultured fair better than wild colonies or about the same. I don't feel I have had any more luck with them like I do with aqua-cultured corals.
