There is risk with everything in life. Being aware of the risks and the precautions which need to be taken are important. Most ppl forget that step.

How many ppl actually look on household containers for the caution and know what the msds guidelines are?

How many ppl take pharmaceuticals without knowing or caring about the risks?

Always do your research and be prepared.

True. My surprise with this one was that they release toxins in air. I always thought it was if you touched your face or eyes after handling them. Not so much if they sit on the floor of your house out of water! That's crazy!!

I'm not really surprised, although I do believe that it's purely coincidental. (high evaporation rate, perhaps?)

I read a few months ago of a family that wound up at the ER with similar ailments after the aquarist boiled live rock.

I know there is an article talking about how coral release something to almost "create" cloud cover on exceptionally sunny days. Wonder if this is similar?

A 70 pound zoa coral rock is huge. I think the rock was what release the toxic gases, not the zoas.

Possibly. All I know is, that's one bad day to have.
