Is it just me or are we seeing an increase in spam posters? I have noticed about 5 in the last week or so. I wonder is there a way to weed these annoying pests out?

There are filters in place that help to reduce the number of spam that we get but need to be tweaked as new ways of getting through are found. Also it may not be set as tight as could be with Matt working on bugs with the new site.

As Corailline stated please report any all spam you encounter. This helps to set the spam controls better and allows us to hopefully keep it to a minimum.

I don't notice much on here. My local forum on the other hand gets blasted with cell phone spams on the daily!

That is our goal. The members don't have spam to notice.

Most of what I see is posted in the early morning hours, so it's already been deleted by the time you log in. :p:D

Just a reminder to anyone who thinks they might be interested in the product(s) listed in a spam post: DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK: TYPE THE MANUFACTURER'S OR SELLER'S NAME IN A SEARCH BOX TO FIND THEIR WEBSITE! Not all spammers are interested in selling products; clicking on a url in any spam message could quickly become a costly mistake!

All the spam I have seen is during the night time. I am on the forums around 7 hrs during that time. I work nights and there isnt much else for me to do.
