    So over the last week my sg somehow got down to 1.016........ needless to say there were some casualties, i slowly have brought it back up
    fish lost:
    dragon goby
    lionfish
    mandarin dragonet
    Corals Lost:
    Frogspawn
    Yellow Fiji Toadstool
    i am depressed.......

    must have dropped pretty rapidly! I wouldn't think fish would die from that. My fish only tank is a 1.018

    i have no idea how it happened, i usually check sg about once a month since i rarely do water changes but when i checked it it was obscenely low

    what are you testing with, sounds unusuall for sg to drop, I have heard of it raising. could be hydrometer error.

    no i dont have an ATO and i read it with two hydrometers so i dont believe that was the issue
