    I have many Astera Starfish, but these guys showed up out of the blue and they are about the size of a nickel in diameter and about two nickels thick.

    That's pretty cool! No idea what they are, but very cool.

    No idea, but it's interesting how they blend in with the coralline algae. It's hard to tell because there aren't any distinct features.

    I've never seen a blue asterina. That's not saying they don't exist because there is a running ton of stuff I haven't seen. But nickel sized stars that are blue sure don't seem like asterina's to me.

    They are blue/grey, the color of my LEDs are throwing off the camera sensor. But I def have asterina's but they are all white with grey stripes.

    I just read of someone saying these little bluish guys will clear the wall of some coralline. Still doesn't give a positive ID, and there are a TON of different asterinas, so it very well could be some sub of that species.

    Looks like an astrena. They are said to feed on coralline. TIFWIW.
