    I think its a pest, but am not to sure. they have been popping up all over my tank lately.

    Nope a peppermint will not kill them, nor will Kalk paste.

    Some Filefish may eat them, reports of some butterflies eating them, both hit and miss and the fish come with their own issues.

    I would kalk them repeatedly (same thing as Joe's Juice)and see if you can knock them down, or I would remove the rock and nuke it and recycle it.

    Get joes juice. It's good stuff. Killed them off of my first reef good.

    I wouldn't be to sure about the Peppermint Shrimp fix not working, earlier I posted an id that also turned out to be majano, plus I had Aptasia, after I gave up on AptasiaX cus I had to many majanos and aptiasia, I went with a hit or miss fix, I bought 2 peppermint shrimp, today you will not find one of either of the two, I never actually seen the shrimp killing them and eatting them, but something did.

    I tried as well. 3 peppermints into a 30g. No effect on aiptasia but my corals weren't terribly happy about the new food thieves. I wasn't against the peppermints until I caught them aggressively going through my coral for the food. Now my sump is their new home.
