I was doing some maintenance to my fuge and when I put everything back in I found this crawling in the Cheato. Serpent Star? its body is about the size of a ball point pen tip and has darker stripes on it.

no,if it gets big enough to actually hurt something it will be easy to take out.besides some types never get big enough to hurt anything and multiply and do a great job cleaning the sand and tank, especially the white ones.if it gets big enough to eat fish then you'll be able to find it.

It's a mini brittle and it won't get any bigger than it is now. I have never had a serpent star eat anything but that doesn't mean that they won't eat a "sick" fish if given the opportunity. Green brittle stars, however, are notorious fish eaters.
