Hi I just recently purchased a false percula, and after about 2 days of him being in his new home noticed these spots.

Now I have had ick on fish before, however this looks like it could be the early forms of it?

The spots are raised up a bit, it looks like its kind of spiky.

Sorry for the bad shots, need better camera :-/

Funny little guy though, first saltwater tank, been doing freshwater for way too long!

    Hello and Welcome,

Yes looks like a typical case of ich to me, other than that he looks really healthy.

thanks for the warm welcomes guys.

He's the only fish in the tank besides 2 turbo snails.

I do have a QT setup however its housing one of my poor African cichlids who seems to be paralyzed from lower half of his body down. He's getting better though!

I will definitely keep an eye on it, and move him to QT if it gets bad

    Thanks again!

yeah thats probably ick. I just quarantine, use hyposalinity, and wait about 4-6 weeks for ick to die in the main tank
