Going down for an "extended work stay". So I will have three leisure days to myself... Anyone know of some good snorkel spots?

Two friends will be accompanying me that do not know how to SCUBA so we will be stuck with snorkeling.

I would hit Key Largo to Snorkel and dive. Less than an hour drive from Miami. Take the Card Sound Expressway into the keys, rather than US1 and stop at Alabama Jacks for cold beer and conch fritters.

Also, I did a trip with Captain Slates dive Atlantis out of Key Largo with both Divers and Non Divers. So I was able to dive, but the top of the reef was shallow enough that we had snorkelers on the same boat. Worked out nice as I also had a non diver in my group.

I also go with Captain Slates in Key Largo. Reef in keys is only 3-4 miles off shore. Pick nice day, low wind and no waves. But on those good days call ahead.
