i want to buy a ph controller Milwaukee

i am going to connect a koralin 1502 calc reactor wha is your opinion about i ph monitor and controller Milwaukee cost 116 dols
is this a good idea or i just buy a ph monitor i am afraid tha the ph controller turn off the calc reactor too many times??
a friend mine guggest to put a timer that turn on the calc reactor during the day and turn it off during the night..

 

I would not run a CA Reactor without a PH Controller. This way you do not run the chance of melting your media. I have the probe in the reactor to monitor the PH inside of it. Also I just saw a Pinpoint Controller in the clearance section on Premium Aquatics.

 

I would never run a Ca reactor without one. You need a way to meter how much CO2 is going in your reactor. The controller never "turns off" the reactor, it just only allows a set value of pH to be in there.

 

HUH??? Please explain why because I think it is probably the most important part of the reactor.
