i ripped my BTA's foot now what? :((

    ive seen someone cut an anemone in half from the foot up thru the mouth and the nem lived (well both of them lived) I wouldnt stress too much about it IMO

    I can't see it's mouth, but it does not appear to be gaping. Also, it is inflated some and it's attached it looks like. So far, so good. I think as long as it dosn't get infected it has a good chance to heal.

    Thank you and its not gaping from what i can see either its just in a really bad spot for pictures the mouth was a little mound earlier and i was going to try and feed him but im thinking i should hold off?

    Update on my BTA all of the Mesenterial filaments are back inside my BTA so i think he is going to live FOREVER!!!! lol jk but he did do some wandering and was stuck to the top rim of my tank this morning when i woke.

    I wonder why the anemone is still attached to the walls of the tank and higher in the tank.

    I have never had a BTA attach and stay on the walls of a tank. They have always footed to a crevice in the LR.

    What type of flow do you have?

    My BTA was wedged in between that small space of my PH. As for flow I have about 69x turn over with 4 PH's 2 1400 Hydors and 2 750 Hydors but will be replacing all of them friday with a MP40 :)

    Do you think there might be something wrong with him?

    All I know is that I have had a lot of BTA's over the years and they never stayed on the wall of the tank for any length of time, perhaps for the first couple hours. Your was unfortunate enough to get an injury quickly so maybe it is just recovering instead of moving.

    its moved up higher on the wall though ? maybe he is healing
