    looks to be a decaying lobophyllia(sp) with a mushroom on it, i would remove the mushroom if you want him to have any chance...

    If you have a QT or somewhere to try and nurish it back to health i would do that. Always ask questions of the LFS, like "did someone bring this in?"

    Is there any flesh to it at all? It looks to me like a dead coral with coralline on it. Kinda wondering how a shroom would attach itself to flesh on another coral.

    id say it has a good chance, one of the people on my local reef club brought back to life something... a scoly(i think) that looked like pure death... let me see if i can find some pics...brb
