    i just brought this home. traded a lot of xenia to lfs for it. its not the most colorfull i have ever seen but its cool i think

    Looks like a crocea; it will color up real nice under your MHs. :)

    it is crocea. i was wondering about that it seems to be getting more colorfull the longer its here. is that possible or am i just dreaming it?

    If it has been sitting in lower light than your setup color up will occur immediately and in the coming weeks. Also, crocea clams are rock dwellers so it needs to sit in the rock so it can attach.

    well i moved the clam to a rock and i like it better there anyway however when it opens now the mantle is touching a rock behind it just a little bit. is that ok or should i move it a little?

    It's okay if the mantle touches a rock a little, if you have room to move it why not. :)
