    The anticipated release of Hydor's Smartwave controller has been delayed until August as they get UL approval. The Smartwave will be worth the wait as each outlet can handle up to 100 watts of Koralias or non-Koralia pumps. Considering the low wattage of pumps these days that can be a lot of pumps. Another notable feature is the pump delay which can go from 5 seconds to 6 hours for some true tidal action. More details below and attached.

    Smartwave is the new controller for movement and circulation pumps designed by Hydor. In nature, river and sea currents are a vital part of the natural life cycle of aquatic creatures as they promote oxygenation, transport nutrients and food and remove residues that would otherwise pollute.
    Smartwave helps recreate these currents which allow a healthy aquarium and uniform water temperature by selecting one of the 2 available program:
    · Alternate: pump 1 ON – pump 2 OFF, pump 1 OFF - pump 2 ON.
    · Synchronous: pump 1 and 2 go ON and OFF together.
    Details:
    · 2 outlets, both for up to 100W;
    · 2 selection knobs, 1 for pump program (alternate-synchronous), 1 for time interval setting (second, minutes, hours);
    · Feeding programs, automatic and manual.
    Compact, Smartwave is easy to conceal by hanging it inside the aquarium cabinet.
    Designed for Koralia’s, Smartwave works with most movement pumps available on the market compatible with quick ON-OFF (5 seconds= 6.3 million on/off per year)

    I think this would be more useful if it controlled more pumps. I think a cool use for this would be using it like a scwd. have two return pumps hooked up to hit with outputs being on opposite sides of a tank.

    I guess I was not clear - you can chain pumps on each channel. Each channel can total 100 watts. So if you have a set of 13w pumps - you can have 7 pumps on each side. Seven 13w pumps = 91 watts.

    Ah ok, I read it as being able to run one pump of up to 100 watts on each side.

    Thats a sweet controller at a sweet price! Looks like it even has a feed mode! Would you have to plug the pumps into a multiplug then into the controller?
