Hydor slim nano

was doing weekly water changes in my biocube 29. started to get an over growth of algae. I decided to clean all of my rocks kick up my sand bed and invest in a skimmer. it has been 2 months now and I couldn't be happier, my corals and clam look great and the algae growth in not noticeable. I do believe you can get by without a skimmer but I do think there is a noticeable difference with one. My .02, as far as the type of skimmer the Hydor slim is well built, I can hear it but its not noisy at all and it skims quite well. I would recommend to anyone who wants a >$100 skimmer that works well.
