You could use luna's idea and that way if your float valve failed the alarm would go off.

Oh boy my mom and I are going to need this one....:D Thanks for the vid! It would have taken me several flooded living rooms to figure that one out.

Does the Kerosine improve the performance of your fish and corals? I normally just run unleaded in my tank, sometimes premium, but it doesn't add much. :p

why couldnt you put the level on the inside of the jug and the sensor on the top of the outside of the jug? then you wouldnt need any bucket to catch the overflow and ive found that when a container is filled to the brim then when you go to move it you get sloshing and spillage so that little bit less would minimise that

    otherwise great and simple idea

B/c the level would just float all over the place inside the jug. As for the sloshing and spillage, those jugs come with a cap.

    Sweet vid luna...

I dose kerosene as well... then light the floating particles on top to burn off any extra nitrates

(newbies who may be reading this, this was a joke... do not do this LOL)

hahahaha yeah, what I like to do is light a match to it and that serves as a moon light, it sets a very romanic mood for MR & Mrs Nemo. Only problem is that everyone likes to watch..................
