    that is the way to go, I do mine once very two weeks or so but didn't have the option

    And actually, with the coral and bio-load I have it isn't very often at all. My fuge and skimmer take care of the bad. My corals don't use up the good too quickly.

    4 gal every Sunday AM. (RC) 12 gal Nanocube.
    No Skimmer.


    30 gal every Sunday AM. (RC) in 125
    Very heavily populated tank in fish and soft corals.
    No refugium.

    Works great for me...

    I perform 30% water changes every two weeks.
