Ill be honest, i have a 250+ gallon system and never do what changes, i dose and have not seen any ill effects what so ever


I should also mention i do add about 20-25 gallons of new water each week for top off

Personally I think the trace elements are important for biodiversity, I do a 10%-20% change monthly.

Some people say there corals seem better with fewer water changes, but I think that may be from poor quality mix.

Every 2 weeks, ~20%. Currently using Salinity salt.

 

Was doing a 15% water change every week when the tank was still semi new.. Now that things have leveled off I do 15% bi-weekly..

10% bi weekly on both tanks.

 

10% every 6 weeks for the 55 gal. and 25% every 2 weeks for the 14 gal. Biocube.
