ok - over the past 12 years (Including FW) with the reciepts I have-

    $16,434.93

However, I have made about 6k of that back, with trade ups ect.

Now, considering that I spent $242.00 this month at RAH, which is only the second purchase of the year I think my average is considerably droping - I think this is due to system age- as it takes a while for critters to grow to my expectations. :D

Yeah the big money spending is when you first set up the tank for the most part, unless you buy new equipment, etc. Coral can be pretty expensive sometimes. Lol.

I agree, I don't know how true it is but I ran in to a guy at my LFS and he claims to have recently purchased a extremely rare coral frag for just under a GRAND! Seriously! I'm an addict and I don't quite think I could drop that on a frag even if I had it.....um.....er.....well, maybe if I had it. I'd have to be pretty stinkin' well off though. I've only have around $5200 in my set up, he claims over twice that!!!!!! GEEEEEEZ!

For someone that searches the for the best Cuban cigars and bourbon available to mankind, the last thing I want to do is track how much money I spend on my aquarium. Although it's not near as much as my aforementioned habits.

I'm new to the hobby by around 8 Months. I don't have a running cost & tell porkies to the better half every time I come home with new bits. He still thinks it does not cost too much lol If only they really knew ;) lmao

    I think my set up is roughly £2500 - £3000 that's roughly $5000
I don't dare add the livestock to that lol I imagine roughly £1000

I'm blocking this site from his web browser now lmao :-X

Love & passion has no limit :p just bankruptcy lmao

    +1 to that.

I'm starting up my second tank now. My first one cost at least $1200 to get going, and it's a 29G.

SO far on the 90G, I've spent 350 on building materials for the stand, 300 on the tank itself, 450 on the lighting I just ordered, and 300 last week on powerheads, plumbing, heaters, salt.. whoa, I just forgot about the $200+ I spent on rock at the LFS, plus $80 on the sand.

OH mannn. I'm going to stop typing, and never follow up with this thread again.

I love this hobby, and it gives me pleasure. I work hard for my money, and I'll spend it how I want. (Since uncle SAM spends the 25% of what I earn on whatever the hell he wants!)
