Do you really think you'll need to spend that much? The Rio nano skimmer gets pretty good reviews and they don't cost more than $50 I think?

Octopus Extreme 200 w/ ATB PPW. Its alright, awfully fussy. If I had to do it again, would probably look into something else.

Coralife skimmers, for as cheap as they are and the track record for the rest of the company, work like a charm. They are probably the BEST entry level skimmer out there, and that then spills over to the guys that fell in love and bought more, or a larger size. Definitely worth the small price tag.

I have a Rio Nano-Skimmer on my 10g. Not recommended. Not a quality unit IMHO.

Really...well, the reviews lie then :) Good to know John. I'm not in the market for a nano-skimmer but if I was, I'd know to skip the Rio.

^ I'm doubting that your nano tank ever gets cleaned, let alone skimmed.
