How long do you let salt water age before using it?

How long do you age newly mixed salt water?

    I age for approx 1-2 days. I like to make sure parameters are good.

    SW doesnt go bad, it can be stored away for a long time. When your going to do a WC, you place a PH and a air pump to get it ready 24-48 hrs before the change. Luna

    the general consensus it seems then is that aging is not necessary, I thought it would be the opposite, this is good to know for the future

    I do not age it per say but I do let it stir with a pump and a heater and I find that if I wait a day it seems to look clearer and better mixed I also will let it sit for a week sometimes before a water change which I do once a month of 25 gallons.

    A month? Thats what I used to do once a week. 25 gals a week for a 120g system. Luna

    I mix mine up in hot water (30 gal)...run an airstone in it till it cools down to right temperature ~ 3 hours. Then use it.

    IO & RC both say on bucket you can use right away...but am not certain if good idea or not.
