How high is your electric bill with your aquariums?

Mine was $111.00 this month but it was higher in the summer when my chiller was running. I would estimate a 30% to 40% increase in my bill after setting up my tank. John

 

I dont know about you guys in the U.S but here in Quebec my electricity bill is budgeted. Meaning that they take what its suppose to cost you in a year and divided in 12 easy payments. So they estimate depending on allot of different factors and at the end of the year they send you a nice letter saying that you used more electricity than they thought so you owe them 260$ more. (thats what happend a couple months ago) So im paying about 115$ a month year round plus the "doh! we got it wrong again extra :" 250$ a year. A very small difference than before the tank.

I have a lot of electrical draw before the tanks; pool,hot tub,AC exc but before the tanks the bill was $160
