I purchased an inch by inch block with maybe 10-15 zoanthid only one being half the size of a penny. It is also a special morph, can't remember the name. How quickly do they multiply? They are getting eight hours a day with the biocube HQI metal halide. They are positioned high in the tank with nothing else around them. I also feed them once a week with oyster feast. I dose fuel and purple up. Thanks for the help!

Can't really say. All things being equal, generally they'll grow faster than most coral. I would stop dosing purple up.

It's a gimmick. A proper salt mix and will obtain the same results in the same time period. You can really unbalance your water chemistry with it, specifically your calcium. They don't even tell you what they put in their product, so you have no idea what you're adding, so you have no idea what to test for.

I do a weekly water change of 2-3 gallons. I take it this is enough to replenish what is needed?

I agree ditch the purple up.

How fast they grow really depends on the type of zoanthids, lighting, water chemistry.

If you have them high under MH I would move them down, lower in the tank.

This is how high they are -

They are a good 8-10 inch from the top of the water, and 2-3 feet from where I have the metal halides. I'm not sure if this chances your recommendation.

Ok, if they start to loose color or not open fully just move them down. Your placement seems fine. Not all zoanthids need intense lighting.

You can look at this link and see if you can match an ID.
