I have 2 clown fish a black ice and a regular clown. I am feeding them about a 1/4 of a frozen cube. Is there a way to tell if they are still hungry?

    Thanks!

I have heard that a rule of fin is the fish's stomachs are similar to the size of their eyes. so, you can use that as a gage. I know some clowns will just keep eating and eating and eating...

    Can anyone confirm that?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would feed them half a cube. You could also give them a tiny pinch of flake or quality pellets.

I usually just feed my fish till they don't eat anymore. I'm probably over doing it, but fat fish are happy fish.

Note:I feed usually once or twice a week.

This is a personal opinion. Everyone has their own idea what they believe a healthy fish is.

The clowns at work stop eating at some point. Lol. Again, I don't have clowns, but my wrasse could probably eat circles around your clowns ;)

I believe younger clowns really need to eat more and sometimes twice a day. You need to find the balance, between adding unwanted nutrients and keeping your fish healthy. Your tank is young so pickings are slime, you do not have an abundance of pods for the fish to pick at.

I've read that sw fish should be fed what they can eat in 2 - 3 minutes, twice daily, so that's what I do. My fish are fat, and I have no excess nutrient issues. HTH :)
