Hippo tang dead

So I'm going to guess my blue tang is dead, I haven't seen him in two days and he's usually out swimming during the day and eating, he was small, probably 2.5 inches in length. He had a small ich issue that was resolved with garlic pellets but I'm afraid it may have claimed him!
The two clowns I have show no sign of ich, I'm going to look for his body after work, does that mean my tank will forever have ich?

 

Looking for a dead fish gone 2 days is pointless. You're clean up crew/and biological filter should do what they are supposed to do.

I would do all the basic chemistry as a back up.

All parameters seem to be perfect so I'm gonna say it was the ich that got to him :-[

 

Don't give up hope. I have had a blue stay sightless for over a week and the re-appear. They ARE MASTERS AT HIDING.

 

I sure hope so, although with these signs of ich I'm worried
