As promised months ago, here's the beginning of the 3k saltwater pond post. Will keep this short but will give more detailed updates as I'm sure many will have questions.

The tank has been up and running for about 5 years now and has NEVER lost a fish. About 1 1/2 year ago, had a massive problem with the water which caused the pond to crash and lost about 1/2 the fish inside (around 50 fish which were at least 4 years old :( ). Leaving that story behind, that brought me to upgrade the equipment with backup for each part and pretty much start from scratch. The tank has been up and running again for almost 2 years now with no problems and so far so good. Here's a quick list off the top of my head of what's inside the tank...

    2 Yellow Tangs
    2 Purple Tangs
    5 Golden Trevally
    1 Flame Angelfish
1 Anemone (which split and now there's 2!!!!)
    1 Clown
    4 Angels (forgot specifics)
    4 Porcupine puffers
    2 Spotted Groupers
    1 Barracuda
    4 Lookdowns
About 20 other random fish which I cannot remember atm

Sorry for the crappy pictures atm (used the iphone and was eager to post the 66g and this one) but I promise I'll grab some better pictures this weekend. I also shot a video which looks amazing on the PC but once I uploaded to youtube, it brought down the quality horribly. Here's some pictures for the time being. Will post betters ones with also an update to show the equipment...

this is really cool! how do you control temperature and how do you control salinity like when it rains or evaporates?
