Thanks for the link cannedmulder. I saw that thread earlier, but got distracted and never quite figured out what it was.

This is quite certainly the friendliest forum I've ever joined...

YEAH HIGHSCHOOLERS FOR THE WIN!!! :D :D

Welcome aboard...I joined...Yesterday. My mom (Triplemom) is the one with the SW Aquarium and the money, I just do some simple stuff like, oh say: build the stand, hook up the plumbing, clean up the wiring, set the heater temp, install the lights and set timers, check the water, and feed the fish. She does the hard parts like watching the fish, trying to decide if she likes blue or white moon lights, and look for the hermit crabs.

We're approaching our 1 week mark from "going live" this Friday. SW is alot easier to handle than I thought it would be...but we also researched like crazy and planned things out. We've been researching for 3-4 months now.

Anyways, welcome aboard! Finally someone my age haha. What year are you in?

Welcome to 3reef Happycat, got any pics of your set up? If so, can you share with the class? ;D

    Back off picture police! :D

29 gallon is an ok setup, but keep in mind that lower volume aquariums are less stable as far as salinity and water chemistry goes. If you could go for anything bigger, that would be nice.

But to not turn you off from the 29, here are some pics of my friend Will's setup. He's 17 and has been great help with setting our system up. His setup is a 29g with a 10g DIY sump, a Koralia #2, with a Seaclone 150 skimmer. It's been setup for 2 years now, he had the clowns and anemone in a 10 gallon, which is now his Q tank.

EDIT: Another thing: the first thing Will ever told me was to get a stand that covers the sump up. Makes everything look neater.

Happy Luna? Not exactly pics of her setup...but a pic is a pic. There's 2000 words for ya!
