Hermit issue

    My blue legged hermit has molted twice in less than 2 weeks and is now wondering around on the sand.I dont have any bigger shells for him to move to so how long can he last out of his shell.

    I would say not very long, im sure a fish will pick at him sooner then later, your best bet is to go to the LFS and pick up a few shells, my LFS gives me shells when i buy hermits and i just lay them on the sandbed and they host when they are ready to go.

    i am not sure how long he can last, but i would get him some more shells!...it isn't always attractive, but i do keep a bunch of empty shells in my tank for them...i don't know why i just have a soft spot for the hermits and snails.....now the GIANT emerald green i have is a diff story
