    I have a redish anemone looking thing that is kind of shaped like a fan on my live rock. It looks like it has white tips. If it is bad can I just remove the small rock? It is too small to take a picture.

    Well, it might not even be an anemone. Without a pic or VERY detailed description (draw it in Paint maybe?), it will be hard to ID.

    A picture says a thousand words, so if no pic, I would start typing. ; ). But yea, a good description can will help a lot, it may not even be an anemone.

    Well, I could guess and say it might be a fan worm of some sort, but I'm really not sure.

    Are the tips "balls" like you drew?

    It has the tentacles facing out into the water, and not on to the rocks, correct?
