    we had a huge hair algae infestation in our 75 cyano too so we scrubbed each rock down. But now its regrowing==help? Im not really sure whet to tell you guys about my tank, so if you guys could say please
    Also my skimmer is not working (which may be why) why might this be?

    Have you checked your phosphates and nitrates? You could perform a 25% WC, fix the skimmer and add some chaeto to help with the problem. How long has the tank been established? There are a few adds you can put in a tank that are reef safe for Cyano. Are you using RO/DI?

    I agree with above regarding water quality and nutrient export... However, when I had GH really bad I added a sea hare which devoured the algae. Might want to think about one of those, but definitely need to look into what is causing it in the first place.

    get a reactor from BRS, thats what I didnt, increase your flow as well. Everyone has been ming me this due to my cyano outbreak, well this morning got my sump working with great chaotic flow and the cyano is practially gone this afternoon

    i put in cy meds and they worked well
    i already have macro
    my nirtates are 0 not sure about phosfates
    i heard sea hares were hard to care for and once they eat all the gh they die

    i had a sea hare die in my 55 when it was fowlr with my eel and never found it.... worst reefer ever <---- PS it didnt eat much GHA

    what could be wrong with the skimmer? we just cleaned the rocks and a week after they are worse than ever

    What is the skimmer doing that makes you think it isn't working? Need this information and also what type of skimmer is it?

    As for the algae issue, what are you levels?
    Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, Phosphates etc
