Argh, I can't believe I did this. While doing maintenance on my 45 fowlr, I dropped a brand new jar of turbo calcium in it. Of course the lid had to be off! I moved my two black percs into a 10 gal with new water. So far they seem to be doing well.
Did a 50% water change for the tank. What else should I do?

One of my precs died last night. :'( The pair was a gift from a friend who got out of the hobby due to health reasons. Anyway I'm off to find another kit. Wish me luck! Not a lot to choose from here in Waco.

Nobody here has one in stock. 2 to 3 days to get it in. Just have to wait I guess.

Sorry to hear that Phil. That sucks. Got any filters on that 10 gallon? Is it brand new water you used in it?

I did something similar not that long ago and severely damaged my hard corals. :'(

Thanks Matt! It was new water that I was going to use for a water change in the main tank. As far as filters go, right now I have a Fuval 304 on it with flow turn down a bit because of water splash out. This is as close to a quarantine tank that I have. Really don't have room for anything else. It's a big relief in knowing that I have it, wish it could be bigger, better this than nothing, right?

I got a new test alk test kit today. It reads 9.0 dkH. I'm fairly new to this type of test, is this ok? Plus it's a Salifert test kit if you would like to know.
