im not completely sure if this is the correct ID but i believe its name is rhodophyte, it looks like red flakes on the live rock, it spreads pretty fast, and it also grows on my corals too. i know for a fact i picked it up from my aquarium speciality store which really annoys me.... so ill post up a pick of what it looks like. any ways of removing it or if any sort of snail or crab will eat it?

Bumping this for an ID from the experts.
Personally I think I have had this in the past but it did not spread fast and I rather liked it. HOwever - if it spread like yours, I'd probably have a different opinion.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I agree I think it is an attractive macro algae, but I probably would not want it in my tank if it spreads quickly.

If you look down this page you will find the " red algaes". If does look like Rhodymenia type.
