help on purple tip anemone

Hello,I bought an purple tip anemone a week ago at my local pet store..I have an 20g tank..I noticed that one of my clown fish is trying to host it, I can see it playing and sitting on the anemone. .and the bottom of the anemone are already attached to my live rock, I think this is a good sign but sometimes the under part of the tentacles shrink..is this good or bad?thanks

 

Sounds normal. If it starts to melt that's when you need to worry. haha

Try feeding it some silver sides once twice a week.

 

Really? But it's bleached. ..im scared that I be losing it.

you know depending on your water conditions the purple tip like all might lose some color and the lighting that you have may be different... on top of that it might just be a little stressed

then again you might be losing it..

check your water conditions and post em up

I have a purple anemone mine got a little lighter and more "stringy" in my tank but it's doing good... make sure to feed it. i feed mine small pieces of krill along with whatever food gets in the tank for the fish like mysis brine etc

if you google purple tip anemone it looks just like all the pics that show up! It may not be bleached, may just be a white anem with purple tips!

IMHO it looks fine! What kind of lighting are you using? What are your water parameters? How long has the tank been running?

 

Water parameter is at 1.025
Lighting is 240w metal halide
My tank has been running for 3 months..I know it is too early..but I was so excited..I can't hold it..

 

haha, so why do you think it is bleaching? was it all purple before?

 

ur salt is perfect but what about the rest of it??
