    [​IMG]Here is a pic with it only 2 days ago.Now some tissue off the tips is coming off and polyp extension weak.Sg1.025, ca 450, alk 9, mg 1290, temp 78All other corals look fine. Only got this piece 1 wk ago.
    Will get another pic up tomorrow.

    Issues with burnt tips always makes me think alk swings or elevate alk.

    I see your value and it looks good, are your running bio-pellets or dosing carbon?

    Was the corals shipped or did you buy it locally?

    Just wanted to add that sometimes new growth on acropora can look like tissue loss on the tips.

    Swings in ALK may be likely. My ca reactor is down so I started dosing 2 part.
    I originally increased it from 7dKh to 9 over a few days.
    Im not dosing carbon. Only water changes and GFO.
    Should I frag to try to save at least one piece?

    I dont think its new growth tho, since I saw actual tissue coming off from the tips. I sure hope thats it may be growth and i can save this piece.

    That pic looks like new growth but I can't zoom in clearly enough to tell.

    I'll try to get a good cam borrowed to get some macro pics.
    There is little to no polyp extension tho.

    The corals were shipped from the US. probably stayed about 8hrs in a bag and then a couple days by my supplier.
