this has been going on for about two week now all my mont/Aco/sps have been dying. at first I cough it up to the fact that my nitrate got a little high .9 . did some water changes over the weeks , now current day its .5 , but my SPS are still dying any ideas?
All my other coral(soft,NPS,LPS), clam, shrimp and fish are opening , responding to light and eating

    SG 025
    MAG - 1600
    ALK -now 168ppm normally 180 to 196ppm
    CAL - 451
    trate - .5
Dosing - Tech M Mag 100ppm a day/24hr trying to get to 2000 to deal with the bypropsis issue
    light - LEDs
Water - RO/DO I make it myself. last water change was sat.
    no new equip add
Nothing new was add to the tank, and i have not found or seen any bugs minus a FW

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
IMO nitrates are not nearly high enough to kill off hardy sps.

In my experience swing in alk can be a huge problem.

Looks like LED? Have you increased the density recently?

    Running BioPellets or GFO?

I would check your parameters against another kit or at the LFS.

Good luck, that has to be hugely frustrating.

Neither 196 or 136 are too extreme. How fast did that shift occur?

Did you add a new coral recently that may have possibly carried in a disease with it?

what kind of soft corals do you have? I have seen this in a tank of a friend.
+1 on the ph/alk need to stabilize and stay constant you know that :)

but my friend started to run carbon in his sump and it cleared up and regrew. Some soft corals will send out chemicals into the water to compete for space.
