Oh just "food for thought" here you guys
( I am in business , I own an "AAMCO" transmission shop )

And if you guys havint looked into it yet.. you should be looking into yellow pages
    for your add.

And if you dont already know it yet... if you live in a major metropolitan city.
LOL, your gonna "faint" at prices for placing any sizable add.

My main yellow page add costs me 12,000 $ yearly for a half page so i can be infront of every one.
Now with that said > even if you have like 3 AAA's in name at the beginning , it still wont be first if some one buys a bigger add ,
    example:

Your name is "AAS" ( you buy quarter page ),

Your compitition is called "billy bobs" and he decides to buy a full page add

Guess what ? he gets first slot at the beginning.
Now they only go alphabeticly in the "directory" only.

And a full page add ? is around 40,000 $ for yellow pages for a major metro city

You'll soon learn that "advertising" is the biggest cost , next to your rent
And renting a place in a decent location will make you shoot lightening out your wa'zooo.

thats why you dont use yellow pages, but rather duct tape your signs on places unaccessible without a ladder, IE the side of someones house.....

yeah, rent here is $9/sq foot annually so not as bad as some other cities but definetly not cheap, Also that isnt including anything but the building. Trying to get some startup loans after I get the name thing settled, ect.

I have some friends at a local radio station that have said they'd toss a plug here and there for free so taht rocks but I'm hoping to get the majority of my business via word of mouth and foot traffic, having some things printed off that will go at one client's resteraunt, he is allowing me to put stickers on the tanks since I'm giving him a discounted rate on maintence just to try and drive up business as well. He serves about 20k people a month so that should be pretty good advertizing as well.
