So I got some new additions and put them in QT. All I know is this is called a leather. Can someone help with a specific name so I can look into lighting and feeding and such. Of everything I bought and put in QT, this one just doesnt seem to be bouncing back. It was big and beautiful in the LFS a couple days ago. QT is new setup, good params.

That kind of looks like a tree leather. While each animal has it's own needs, most leather corals just need light. While they may appreciate supplemental feedings of phytoplankton, my leathers are thriving on light alone. Honestly, it doesn't look all that bad to me, although I didn't see it in the state that you think it should be in.

    Tough one.
I think it does look like this one
Finger Leather Coral - Saltwater Aquarium Reef Tank Coral Photo

Well, it was beautiful in the store. It still just may be transfer shock. These are my first corals.. Yeh, I know I should have got more specific name.

OK, I can add Phyto and MArine snow which I have done.
Question on the lighting, my DT is 42w T5 for 110 gallon so that should be fine.
My QT is 120w CF with blue and white lights. So is 6 w per gallon sufficient if it is not T5 or Halide ? Is a watt a watt ?

    Thanks
