    Hello everyone!

    I found this site trying to gather as much information as I can about my new hobby. I don’t have much experience in aquariums, but have always wanted a reef tank. My setup is about 6 weeks old & I think about ready to add some new corals and livestock.

    Hello and welcome to 3reef!
    As for the reef tank, make sure to go slow and start with beginner corals if at all until you get use to needs and requirements, husbandry and compatability etc.
    Ask questions and do alot of reading as well. Make sure you don't overcrowd or add too much by way of livestock too quickly, so that bacteria can grow to handle the increased bio-load! Check your water parameters frequently and perform small weekly water changes for the success fo your tankmates.
    Other than that have fun as the saltwater hobby is very beautiful, fun and rewarding hobby...

    Welcome.
    Looks like you did your research and got all the basic essentials together for a great reef and won't have to upgrade everything like many of us who don't get the best equipment off the start. (skimmer and MH to be specific)
    I absolutely love the Sailfin Tang.
