Helios PC Fixture for 55's or Less

For anyone that has or is thinking about a 55 gallon or less reef tank, this is a great deal on a really nice PC fixture that kicks out 220 watts. The entire thing with bulbs - $194!!!!

These look great, specially for the price. You sure these are would be a good choice for a beginning reefer like myself with a 55 gallon tank. I guess I'll be starting out with soft corals. Would it be suitable for an anemone? ??? ;D

 

I think you could have some of the heartier anemones, but don't try until your tank really breaks in. damn. that is a deal on those lights. man i hate being broke! oh_no

What do you guys think about arranging that for a 26 gallon bowfront? That is about 4.2 watts/gallon for the 23.5 inch silver one. What bulbs you recommend?

I think it would be really nice on a 26 bow - I bet the legs would still work!

My tank is about 21 tall, do you think 4w/g is going to cut it? If so what would be the ideal bulb combo? I'd love to be able to put anything in but I have a feeling that that wouldn't be enough watts. Am I right? Are there any other lighting possibilities that will allow freedom in choosing my inhabitants with the "COOLNESS" of the Helios?

Ohhh.. You are looking at the smaller fixture with half the watts.

I am with you on this one, too small for a tank that deep.
