    Hello everyone:

I got these emailed to me from a for sale mailing list that I subscribe to. Honestly...have you ever seen sun polyps this big before?

Heres the email I got yesterday about them.

    Cherry Picking Email Customers:
As you probably already know, this species of JUMBO sun polyp, which
stays out all day, is very hard to get here in the u.s. Especially
since they now have a ban on them comming from their home in Vietnam.
We are considering getting over 100 (all polyps will be the huge mother
size) polyps in on a one time deal.
Here's a pic of them waiting on my response about if I want to get them
    or not:
    http://www.roesmarineworld.com/super_Sun_corals.BMP
They will be $45 per polyp
If you are interested, please email me at [email protected]
with how many polyps you would like.
If we get enough in on it, I'll get them over here with-in 2 weeks.
    thanks

    WOW!

They look gi-normous!!! I am wondering tho, why Roe is considering bringing something in to the US that is banned? Hmmm....BTW, I don't buy 'non-indo' lords either...I am not trying to break the law , personally. (altho, I am told, nearly everyone has something illegaly imported in their tanks...) :tongue4:

nON iNDO-LORDS ARE BANNED? Wooops...thats better. Mabey those corals are already here in the states. Perhaps they were just banned and these are the last of the legal ones. Hmmmmm ... so thee are people smuggling corals into the states. That sounds pretty risky for a few bucks.

Those things are probably banned because they eat small children.

Openly smuggling corals, interesting. Tis a shame when they go to the extent to advertise the fact they are breaking the law, or considerring it. I sure hope US Fish and Wildlife Service sees this post and acts accordingly.

For anyone who is not clear about this....I am not involved with these people. I have bought from their website in the past but just zooz and torches and such. I entered my name on a mailing list so I would be updated when they got new stock in. Thats all! I do everything as ethicle as possible....even trying to buy my fish from non chemical collectors even though this seems almost impossible.

Better yet, find a way to send them a copy of the email anonymously. Chances are with the size of those-they would starve in captivity-better to leave them where they are or pay for a HUGE feeding bill.
